Jordon:
My goal and our goal is basically to get the audience into it, get the feel,
get them to really enjoy the show and basically get them to forget what they got waitin' back at home. Whether it be
the bills or whether it be ya know whatever. It's basically our goal to entertain and that's what we got to do.
Nathan:
Since we have only our vocal cords, we don't have instruments to hide behind.
We have to shoot them out with our energy from dancing and singing in good blend or singing. We just want to touch as
many people as we can, show as many people as we can that wer are around and that we can move them and we can make them dance.
Quinn:
When we entertain we do 50's - 60's type music. We have fun with the audience,
we try to interact with them so they get more of a show out of it instead of just sitting there getting bored. We just
try to have fun with them, kinda involve them.
To have the oppertunity to be on tour with my
family, let alone, it's a blast, have so much fun on the road, being together, performing together, just doing things together.
It's really nice.
Morgan:
Our name The Standards was centeral around the type of music we sing.
Once we started to look really harder it kinda held a double meaning for us and it wasn't something so much that we decided
that's how we wanted it. It just naturally fell into place that way and being all eagle scouts and having a religous
backround and different things like we felt we could contribute. When we've been able to go to schools and do school
programs we've been able to do drug and alcohol abuse programs and some of the things we feel area a benefit to kids that
are struggling. We go to high schools, middle schools and even elementary schools teaching these things. So I
think to have those kind of values is a good thing and I think that at our age some people are able to listen to us more simply
because we're young.
Nicholas:
Drugs have destroyed alot of peoples lives. It's really sad to see all the people
losing thier lives or not only lose their lives, don't even have a good life. I mean they live thier life in search
of the new high or trying to get high or whatever and it's awful that drugs can do that to people, and it will destroy thier
dreams and goals. So hopefully in talking to kids, we're hoping that we can positively influence them to stay away frm
those things that can destroy them.
